Disease Profiteering in America
What happens when profit trumps principle?
"The combined profits for the ten drug companies
in the Fortune 500 ($35.9 billion) were
more
than the profits for all the other 490 businesses put together
($33.7 billion) [in 2002].
"Over the past two decades the pharmaceutical industry has moved very far from
its original high purpose of discovering and producing useful new drugs.
Now primarily a marketing machine to sell drugs of dubious benefit,
this industry uses its wealth and power to co-opt
every institution that might stand in its way,
including the US Congress, the FDA, academic medical centers, and the medical
profession itself."
~
Dr. Marcia Angell, former editor in chief of the New England Journal of
Medicine

The
public health care crisis in America is extremely critical. In
comparison to all other industrialized nations, the U.S. health care
system is ranked most expensive with the worst record of public
health. Millions of Americans are dying prematurely because of it.
There's no excuse for this other than the horrendous abuse of power
by a highly organized cartel of moneyed power that profits from
debt, disease and death of the abundant life; a plot out of the
dark-side's 'Hall of Infamy'. The Commonwealth Fund ranked the U.S. dead last in healthcare quality among similar countries, while noting that U.S. care is the most expensive. We spend more in every category of healthcare, especially in administration costs, due to the existence of thousands of different insurance companies. Of course a single payer system of health assurance, that is free and online with instant access 24/7 (as it could be soon) would reduce the redundancy, complexity and cost of insurance to zero for everyone in the world. How’s that for redemption!
Health
assurance polices prevent the need
On July
26, 2000, the Journal
of the American Medical Association published
a landmark paper by Dr. Barbara Starfield (Johns Hopkins School of
Public Health),"Is US health really the best in the world?" In
it, Starfield revealed what many people inside the medical
establishment already knew: every year, like clockwork, the medical
system was killing huge numbers of people. It still is.
"If you have a system that is already killing a huge number
of people,
and you make that system bigger and bring millions more people under the same umbrella, the death toll will accelerate." ~ John Rappaport, HERE. In other words, the dawn of public health standards with free, on-line 'Universal Self Care' worldwide is an idea that has definitely found its time.
Is
it true that health insurance policies for disease care can
become increasingly obsolete with the help of health
assurance polices
for optimal health?
Are
you aware that quantum medicine with ultramolecular
energy therapies f
will increasingly make orthomolecular drug therapies obsolete?
This is the quantum paradigm shift from the 'chemistry
of disease' to
the 'energies
of health'.
Would you agree that the shift from 'mechanistic medicine' to 'quantum medicine' will be like the shift from a dark age to enlightenment? WOULD THOU BE MADE WHOLE? Wake Up, Wise Up, Rise Up, and BE THOU MADE WHOLE!
In 2008 Obama was elected amidst
great hope for change, promoting the public option for health care
that represented health freedom. Before elected, he touted the
public option on his campaign website and spoke frequently in
support of asingle-payer,
Medicare-for-all system that virtually all of the highly civilized
nations worldwide have provided their citizens for a modest sum.
This is what Obama faced. Obama now finds himself at the mercy of the same power elite collusion between Big Government and Big Business. In 2010, the Supreme Court granted 'personhood' to the new corporatocracy -- the 'Citizens United' decision that divides to conquer what's left of 'informed choice'. Big Money from billionaires claiming corporate 'personhood' was given a free pass for not only rigging elections but also health care. Now we see "Corporate law" (shareholders profit 1st) directly pitted against Constitutional law (public service above all).
The dawn of 'Universal
Self Care' in America
The public option for
health freedom is like the public option for freedom in general. It
requires well informed choice based on good intention for -- and
attention to -- a process for organizing information IN FORMATION...
recycling general knowledge in the way that generates specific
wisdom with heart
coherence. We can only do better, culturing civility with
optimal health, when we know better. Or as an ascended Forest Gump
might say, "Enlightenment
is what enlightenment does."will come when it dawns upon Americans that informed choice is the heart of health freedom and information wants to be free for our health as well as for healthy self-governing institutions.
Consider what 'Health
Assurance Policies' will look like
Unfortunately, darkness
still shrouds Washington "DC" (District of Criminals); we're not out
of the DC thicket yet. We all know that Congress deregulated the
banks and then bailed them out when they almost collapsed the
economy from their shared greed and corruption, But none of these
political potentates or king pins in the corporatocracy were
imprisoned. They still rule in Congress or K-Street or behind the
scenes of their corporate empires.when it dawns on the world that we can have them now?
You'll never hear
this in the corporate media.
Fortunately, enlightened
netizens worldwide realize that free, on-line Universal
Self Care and
inexpensive Health
Assurance Policies will
elevate 'informed
choice' to
a level where 'wholeness', 'wellness' and 'holistic health' becomes
the 'gold standard'
for the global 'currency of
Conscience' underwriting the Next Economy in which the abundant
life thrives with universal health care as a global health assurance
policy.Guess who butters their bread?
This is the SOLUTION that
'heals'
or otherwise 'neutralizes' the sick system.
To
appreciate what that looks
like, and
to make it so with
your intent
